Heavy rain struck the city of Wuxi in eastern China, causing widespread flooding in streets, avenues, and the Wuxi East Railway Station. Social media images showed “waterfalls” forming due to the intense rainfall. The Jiangsu Wuxi Meteorological Observatory raised a red alert for heavy rain and storms, with some areas receiving over 100 mm of precipitation. As a precautionary measure, certain metro lines and entrance gates were closed. Despite the flooding, the Wuxi East Railway Station continued to operate normally. Residents were advised to stay vigilant, and emergency services remained on high alert.
