In Pakistan, a passenger train moving from Karachi to Rawalpindi derailed, causing several wagons to overturn. It was announced that 22 people lost their lives and 100 were injured. The casualties were urgently transported to the nearby hospitals, which declared a state of emergency.
Railways Division Inspector confirmed that 10 wagons were derailed. An investigation was launched into the accident.
