A tour boat off the coast of Seferihisar, Izmir, caught fire, prompting passengers to jump into the sea to escape the blaze. The fire reportedly originated in the galley, though the exact cause remains unknown. As the flames rapidly spread, around 40 passengers plunged into the water in panic. Nearby boat owners rushed to assist in battling the fire. Some of the passengers, alongside the boat crew, managed to control and extinguish the flames. Cooling procedures were undertaken by the boat owner, crew, and several passengers.

Following a heat wave in Istanbul, recent rainfall has failed to replenish the city’s dams, with the overall occupancy rate now at 49.96%. The Alibey Dam, currently at 33.32%, showed severe drought conditions, with aerial footage revealing the emerging Güzelce Aqueduct as the water level receded. While Elmalı Dam remains the fullest at 67.42%, Istrancalar Dam is critically low at 27.44%.
