The death toll increased to 60 in floods and landslides in the northern state of Himachal Pradesh in India. The landslides buried over 10 houses in various regions. About 700 roads, including three highways, are blocked. Electricity and water supplies were exposed to extensive damage as well.
“Our state is going through a difficult time, and we have suffered injuries that cannot be healed for a long time in recent days. But we stand with the people and will provide them with all possible assistance,” said State Prime Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.
