Türkiye continues to battle against illegal immigration off Muğla, which has the longest coastline in the country. According to authorities, 1,252 irregular immigrants, who came to Muğla by land and to sail towards the Greek islands or other countries, were caught in operations carried out in Muğla between September 15 and September 30. The captured immigrants were returned to their countries after the necessary procedures were applied.

Meanwhile, many suspects who are considered to be migrant smugglers are also being detained.
