Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan laid flowers at the Memorial Wall in Kyiv, dedicated to Ukrainian soldiers killed in the ongoing war with Russia.
Fidan arrived in the Ukrainian capital on an official visit and was received by Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha at Freedom Square. His first stop was the Memorial Wall, where he paid tribute to those who lost their lives in the conflict.
As part of his visit, Fidan is scheduled to hold a joint press conference with Sybiha and meet with key Ukrainian officials, including President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal. He is also expected to hold talks with the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, who previously led Ukraine’s delegation in peace talks with Russia held in Istanbul.
Fidan will also meet with representatives of the Crimean Tatar and Gagauz Turkish communities in Ukraine.
