The Popocatepetl volcano launched a steam column of approximately 1,500 meters, located in the Mexican state of Mexico and on the border of the cities of Morelos and Puebla.
The Mexican National Center for Disaster Prevention (Cenapred), stated that three separate explosions registered in Popocatepetl at 01:17, 07:55 and 12:58 local time. Following the eruptions, 128 exhalations accompanied by water vapor, volcanic gases and low ash content were identified. Authorities urged residents to take precautions against ash and lava.
