The fires that broke out in Queensland, Australia, have been continuing since last week. Burning thousands of hectares of land, the fires destroyed more than 50 homes. Firefighters are working to extinguish 59 blazes.
The fires have claimed two lives this week: a man who attempted to protect his property from the fire in Tara, and a woman who was later found to have died of a heart attack during the evacuation.
