Minister of Foreign Affairs Hakan Fidan announced that Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan are set to resolve their border dispute officially by March. Following discussions in Kyrgyzstan, Minister Fidan visited Tajikistan, engaging in key meetings and making significant strides in diplomatic relations.
In Dushanbe, Fidan paid homage at the Ismail Somon monument before holding talks with Tajik officials, including Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin and President Emomali Rahman. Fidan also met with Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda, Tajikistan’s Representative Group Chairman, aiming to bolster economic collaboration.
Highlighting the enduring bilateral ties between Turkey and Tajikistan, Fidan emphasized their commitment to elevating relations across multiple domains. Discussions centered on enhancing trade and fostering greater involvement of Turkish entrepreneurs in Tajikistan. Fidan highlighted deliberations on financing, investment, and collaborative projects, aiming to overcome trade and investment barriers. Plans for an upcoming Mixed Economic Meeting underscore the dedication to bolstering mutual economic prospects.
