An explosion at the central heat and power plant in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, resulted in injuries to 5 people, with 2 in serious condition. The incident occurred around 03:00, followed by a fire that took approximately 2 hours for the fire brigade to bring under control. Health Minister Alımkadır Beyşenaliyev visited the hospitalized workers to assess their conditions. In response to the incident, Bishkek schools and kindergartens transitioned to distance education. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the explosion.
