Sunk Cargo Ship Located at 51-Meter Depth in Sea of Marmara

İn Türkiye, the sunken dry cargo ship, “Batuhan A,” which issued an emergency signal and subsequently lost contact while en route from Balıkesir’s Marmara Island to Bursa, has been located at a depth of 51 meters in the Sea of Marmara. Naval Forces Command and Coast Guard Command utilized sonar devices to confirm the shipwreck’s location. Search and rescue operations persist for the missing crew, with additional support provided by Turkey’s largest search and rescue ship, Nene Hatun, and a mine search ship from Kocaeli. Bursa Governor Mahmut Demirtaş oversees crisis management at the Mudanya center since the incident’s onset.

Rare Inverted Tulips Bloom in Türkiye’s Sason Mountains

Inverted tulips, also known as “Crying Bride” flowers, are in bloom in the mountainous areas of Sason district in Batman, Türkiye. Found at altitudes over 2,800 meters, especially around Mount Mereto and Şilek Plateau, these rare endemic flowers attract nature enthusiasts despite the tough terrain.

Locals warn that picking the protected plant carries a fine of 244,000 TL. The flowers bloom for only 15 days each year, offering a short-lived but stunning natural display.
