The search for the crew of a sunken cargo ship near İmralı Island of Marmara Sea resumed at daybreak. Overnight, an underwater robot inspected the ship at a depth of 51 meters, finding no signs of the 6 missing crew members. Divers are poised to dive today if weather conditions allow. The ship, laden with marble dust, sank in a storm after departing from Balıkesir’s Marmara Island. Search efforts, involving various teams and ministries, continued intensively by air, land, and sea throughout the night. A crisis center has been relocated to the Kurşunlu region of Karacabey.

The convoy will continue through Romania, Hungary, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic before arriving in Germany on October 14. Togg officials confirmed the shipment and said delivery dates will be announced soon. The Turkish-made cars are drawing strong interest in Europe for their advanced software, design, and Euro NCAP safety ratings, with 200 vehicles set for monthly delivery and exports expected to exceed 1,000 by the end of 2025.
