Emphasizing potential legal issues concerning borders due to the displacement, Evsen explained the significance of fault lines, particularly the North Anatolian Fault and the Eastern Anatolian Fault, where the recent earthquakes occurred. He noted that precise GPS measurements revealed displacements ranging from 4 meters and 60 centimeters to 2 centimeters, with the largest change observed in Ekinözü.
