Belgian Farmers Protest Roads to EU Council During Ministers’ Meeting

Belgian farmers, who are protesting against the policies of the European Union, set fire to the hay bales and piles of tires on the streets near the EU Council in Brussels, where the EU Ministers of Agriculture were holding a meeting. The roads were blocked by 100 tractors as well. The riot police intervened with the protesters with pressurized water and tear gas.
