Red Crescent and Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) organized a football match to cheer up Rohingya Muslims who escaped from the persecution in Myanmar and took shelter in refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. The competition between the two teams, consisting of young Rohingya Muslims, was watched by thousands of other Rohingya Muslims, Red Crescent and TİKA officials and many Bangladeshi officials. A cup was presented to the winning team after the competition.

Monsoon Rains Kill 17 in Pakistan

Monsoon rains have claimed 17 lives in Pakistan, with flash floods hitting Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. In Swat, nine people drowned while trying to rescue children who fell into a river during a family picnic. Search operations are ongoing for four missing individuals. Eight more deaths were reported in Punjab due to roof collapses, lightning, and floods. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed sorrow over the tragedy.
