The heartwarming friendship between fisherman Adem Yılmaz and Yaren the stork in Eskikaraağaç village, representing Türkiye in the European Stork Villages Association, has captivated millions. Yaren the stork has visited Adem’s boat every migration season for the past 12 years. This year, however, Yaren’s wife, Nazlı, joined the scene, creating a delightful reunion. Yet, complications arose as black cats disrupted the camaraderie between Adem and Yaren. Excavator Operator Waits 27 Days to Protect Dove Nest in Hatay
In Hatay, Türkiye, excavator operator Bülent Kuyucu paused work for 27 days to protect a dove’s nest on his machine. Kuyucu did not work to avoid disturbing the birds until the dove chicks safely flew away.
Kuyucu said he accepted the financial loss but was happy to see the doves leave unharmed.
