A fire erupted atop a 72-story skyscraper being built in New York City, USA. Numerous firefighters were sent to the site. Officials confirmed that the fire ignited in the roof’s ventilation system around 09:20 local time, with no casualties reported. Firefighters brought the fire under control by 10:00 local time.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan arrived in Karabakh and landed at Lachin International Airport, Azerbaijan’s newest airport built on liberated territory. Welcomed by President Ilham Aliyev and Turkish Ambassador Birol Akgün, Erdoğan joined the official opening ceremony of the airport in Lachin province.
This marks the third airport Azerbaijan has constructed in the region, following Fuzuli Airport in 2021 and Zangilan Airport in 2022.
During his visit, Erdoğan will attend the Turkey-Azerbaijan-Pakistan Trilateral Summit with Aliyev and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, and join celebrations marking the 107th anniversary of Azerbaijan’s Independence Day. Several Turkish ministers and senior officials also accompany him.
