Kazakhstan Floods: Evacuations and Rescue Efforts

Floods in western, northern, and eastern Kazakhstan, caused by melting snow and heavy rains, persist. Evacuations continue in affected areas, with water levels fluctuating across regions. Nearly 16,000 people, including 6,000 children, have been evacuated. Emergency declarations cover 20 regions. Helicopters aid in rescue efforts, including saving stranded pets.

Explosion at Chemical Factory in China Kills 5

A powerful explosion at the Shandong Youdao Chemical Company in Gaomi, Shandong Province, killed 5 people and injured 19. Security footage showed a tank exploding and a worker fleeing the scene as flames and thick smoke engulfed the area.

A total of 232 emergency personnel were deployed to the site. The blast was so intense that it shattered windows of a warehouse 3 kilometers away. The factory produces pesticides and medical chemicals. Chinese state media confirmed the casualties.
