The Guiana Space Center operator Arianespace launched two Galileo navigation satellites into orbit on-board of Soyuz-ST-B carrier, the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) announced. The launch was conducted after two days of delay due to bad weather. According to Roscosmos, the main reason for launching the satellite from the Guiana Space Center is that the Soyuz rockets can carry 15% more payload, and reach the orbit faster.
In the following years, Russia will launch six more Galileo navigation satellites into orbit.
