China’s Guangdong province was alarmed due to the heavy rains that started in the previous days. A storm alert was issued at 58 points across the province. Guangdong Meteorology issued red alert, the most severe warning level, in 5 areas, especially in Zhongshan city, and orange alert in 14 areas.
According to the measurements of a meteorological station in Zhuhai, 141 mm of precipitation was recorded in one hour, and this was the highest record since records began in 1962.
