After Israel ordered the evacuation of the neighborhoods in the east of Rafah city on May 6, displaced Palestinians began to set up tent camps in the center of the Gaza Strip. Some families placed their tents on the sidewalks because they could not find space, others settled on empty lands.
Ahed Jabr Rayhan stated that most people went to the city of Deir El Balah, Nuseirat Refugee Camp and Maghazi Refugee Camp in the center of the Gaza Strip, and they wanted the war to end as soon as possible because people were tired.
