Çorum Museum Unveils Türkiye’s Ancient Treasures

Dubbed the “Topkapı Palace of Anatolia,” Çorum Museum showcases 15,000 artifacts from eight ancient civilizations. Originally a hospital and later a school, the building became a museum in 2003. It features rare items from archaeological sites like Hattusa and Alacahöyük.

The museum recently updated its displays, highlighting gold artifacts from various historical periods. A key piece is a 3,600-year-old Hittite seal, one of only three in the world, seized before it could be smuggled abroad. The museum also features a unique Hittite bracelet, showcasing ancient jewelry craftsmanship.

Çorum Museum remains a vital destination for history enthusiasts, preserving and exhibiting valuable cultural treasures.
