Palma Airport on the Spanish island of Majorca faced severe flooding after a storm dropped over 50 liters of rain per square meter. The storm caused chaos as rain leaked through the ceiling and windows, halting flights and stranding passengers. An emergency plan was enacted, redirecting flights to other airports temporarily. Today, an airport spokesperson confirmed that operations have resumed, and redirected flights are returning to Palma. Last year, Palma Airport served 31 million passengers.
