Thirty-four illegal immigrants in rubber boats, which were pushed back into Turkish territorial waters and left to die by the Greek Coast Guard off the coast of Çanakkale’s Ayvacık district, were rescued by the Coast Guard teams. The group was delivered to the Foreigners Repatriation Center in Ayvacık district.
It was stated that 10 of the immigrants on the boat were children.
Standing at nearly 60 meters, Gümüşkanat Waterfall in Bitlis’ Mutki district is among Türkiye’s tallest and most scenic waterfalls. Located near Gümüşkanat village, 25 km from the district center, the waterfall flows year-round, even in summer.
Visitors like Yaprak Yeşim Doğan from Mersin praised the natural beauty, saying they were “amazed” by the view. Nature enthusiasts called for the site to be promoted for tourism.
