Tödürge, Hafik, Akgöl, and over 10 more lakes in Türkiye’s Sivas, known for its historical and cultural riches, are waiting for nature and trekking lovers with lakes of different colors.
“Especially between Sivas city center and İmranlı district, there are many lakes developed in Oligocene aged gypsum containing calcium sulfate units. These lakes are located within the bare gypsum karst topography, which we define as the Upper Kızılırmak Geopark, which is of tremendous quality, remarkable and academically important, and constitute an important part of this topography.” said Prof. Dr. Gülpınar Akbulut Özpay.
