A funeral ceremony was held at Potocari Memorial Cemetery for 14 of the victims of the Srebrenica Genocide, in which at least 8,372 Bosnian Muslim civilians were killed by Serbian forces in 1995 in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Additionally, Bosnians commemorated the martyrs with a march and quiet jump show from the historical bridge in the city of Mostar, where locals and tourists also laid flowers on the Neretva River.
The attack, described as genocide by the International Court of Justice in 2007, was the biggest humanitarian tragedy in Europe that took place after World War II.
