Within the scope of the ‘African Culture House Project’ carried out by Türkiye in Senegal, equipment support was provided to the Handicrafts Training Center in the capital Dakar and new workshops were opened with a ceremony in the center.
“Dakar Handicrafts Training Center provides training in various fields such as ceramics and leatherworking, and the Center both provides economic support to its trainees and contributes to the development of Senegal’s handicrafts,” said Turkish Minister of Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.
“The opening of this center is an indication of Türkiye’s generosity. This project will significantly contribute to the development of handicrafts in Senegal,” said Senegalese Minister of Tourism and Handicrafts Mountaga Diao.
