A school in Jos North, Plateau State, Nigeria, collapsed during an exam yesterday morning. Twenty-two students trapped under the rubble lost their lives.
According to locals, the incident occurred due to rainfall that had been continuing for 3 days.
Building collapses are quite common in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous country, due to lack of strict building standards, use of low-quality materials and negligence.
