A Polish Air Force’s M-346 type light attack aircraft crashed on the runway at Lotnisko Gdynia – Kosakowo Airport during the rehearsal flight of the Naval Aviation Brigade’s 30th anniversary demonstration yesterday. Experienced pilot Robert Jel lost his life in the plane that was engulfed in flames.
While the cause of the accident is not yet known, the Polish army suspended the flights of all M-346 type aircraft.
