Nature Enthusiasts Marvel at Tunceli’s Crater Lake

Around 70 participants from Türkiye and abroad joined a nature trip to Buyer Ana Lake, a crater lake at 3,000 meters altitude in Tunceli’s Pülümür district, organized by the Tunceli Mountaineering Club (TUDAK). After a strenuous three-hour hike from Sarıgül Village, visitors were rewarded with stunning views and engaged in cultural practices, lighting candles at a sacred site. Arzu Can, a first-time visitor, praised the beauty of the location, while Daimi Doğan highlighted the lake’s historical and spiritual significance. Participants called for road improvements to facilitate access to this unique natural and cultural treasure.
