The Israeli army has released 19 Palestinians it had detained in various parts of the Gaza Strip. The Palestinians, who stated that they were subjected to beatings, torture and ill-treatment and were left hungry during their detention, were taken to the Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Hospital in the city of Deir al-Balah.

One Palestinian among the released group said that three of his ribs were broken, his spinal cord was injured and he was given electric shocks during his detention and said that he felt like he was in “hell.”

Israel has detained thousands of Palestinians, including women and children, since October 7.
