A house on the beach in Rodanthe, Hatteras Island, North Carolina, the United States, collapsed during Hurricane Ernesto, which hit the eastern coast of the country. The house, whose wooden foundation collapsed, was swept into the Atlantic Ocean. Locals were warned to stay away from the water because of the debris.
Authorities said the house, which was reported to be empty, was the 7th house that collapsed on Seashore beaches in four years and that many other homes in the area were also damaged.
