Azerbaijan’s Amphibious Aircraft Joins Türkiye’s Wildfire Battle

Azerbaijan has deployed a “BE-200ÇS” amphibious aircraft to assist Türkiye in combating forest fires, following the directive of Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev. The aircraft, sent by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations, is actively participating in firefighting efforts in the Akhisar-Taşkuyucak region of Manisa. The aircraft was initially dispatched to İzmir on August 18 to bolster Türkiye’s ongoing battle against widespread wildfires.
