Sink-hole occurred in a town of Zaruma city in south of Republic of Ecuador. Sink-hole that occurred on Wednesday night caused 3 houses to collapse. The scary moments recorded with amateur cameras. Meanwhile, in the footages that spread rapidly on social media, the sink-hole seen while bring houses to the ground. Christian Torres, Director of the National Service for Risk and Emergency Management (SNGRE), stated that sink-hole caused by illegal mining activities in the city. “Zaruma has an illegal mining problem that has caused this,” Christian Torres said and stated that no injuries recorded so far. After the incident, due to other building’s risk of collapse, residents of 2 neighborhoods evacuated from the area.
