Cooling operations are ongoing for the second day following an explosion at the pasta factory in Sakarya, Türkiye, which left 30 people injured and one person dead. The explosion, which occurred for unknown reasons, caused a large fire that was eventually brought under control after extensive efforts by emergency teams. Drone footage captured the aftermath of the incident as teams continue to work on cooling the area.
Sixteen of the injured have been discharged from hospitals in Akyazı, Hendek, and Düzce, while security forces remain on alert for potential secondary explosions. The sole fatality, 27-year-old Mesut Şimay, was laid to rest following a funeral in Akyazı.
