North Korea, which previously announced that it was developing nuclear weapons by publishing photos of a facility where uranium is enriched, has conducted a new missile test, by launching multiple short-range ballistic missiles towards the northeast of the country.
The South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff determined that the missiles were launched from the Kaechon region in South Phyongan Province at around 06:50 local time and traveled approximately 400 kilometers. No details were given regarding the number of missiles or where they landed. Meanwhile, the Japanese Ministry of Defense reported that the missiles landed on the eastern coast of North Korea and that no damage was caused. Both countries condemned North Korea’s use of ballistic missiles.
