The death toll from floods following heavy rain in central and southern Bosnia and Herzegovina has risen to 16. 12 people died in Jablanica, which was most affected by the floods, 3 in Fojnica and 1 in Konjic. While the search for 10 missing people continues in the Neretva Canton of Herzegovina, there are fears that the death toll will rise.
The Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced that local elections scheduled for Sunday will be postponed in the four municipalities most affected by the floods.
