Two Syrian nationals attempting to escape illegally from Türkiye were caught hiding under the back seat of a car in Edirne. Police discovered the migrants during a coordinated anti-smuggling operation in the city center. The vehicle had a hose system installed to allow them to breathe while concealed.
The migrants were handed over to the Provincial Directorate of Immigration Administration. Two suspects were detained and later arrested for their involvement in the smuggling attempt.
