Speaking at the opening of the second day of the BRICS Summit held in Kazan, the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan, Russia, Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke about the growing influence of BRICS and the role of its member countries in the future of the world.
“We are all witnessing the dynamic development of BRICS, the strengthening of its authority and influence in world affairs. BRICS countries have truly enormous potential in terms of political power, economy, science, technology and human development. In addition, our common values and common worldview unite us. Our countries stand for equality, good neighborliness, mutual respect, friendship, harmony, universal prosperity and well-being. Our countries are taking responsibility for the future of the world in practice, not in words, and have a truly positive impact on the situation in global stability and security and make a significant contribution to the solution of urgent regional problems. This is the essence of the BRICS strategy in the global arena, which meets the demands of the global majority. This line is important at a time when the world is undergoing radical changes,” said the Russian leader.
