At least two people were killed, and four others injured in Israeli airstrikes on Ain El Remmaneh, a southeastern suburb of Beirut, according to Lebanon’s official media. The strikes, which included at least 10 separate attacks across the region, saw Israeli warplanes flying at low altitude over Beirut and the coastal city of Sur. The Israeli military has not commented, though it has previously stated that strikes in Lebanon target Hezbollah sites.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that a missile launched from Yemen by Iranian-backed Houthi forces was successfully intercepted. Sirens were triggered in over 100 locations across Israel, prompting thousands to seek shelter. Flights at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport were temporarily halted for safety.
