Over 62 Million People Cast in Early Voting in Presidential Elections US

The University of Florida Elections Lab reported that over 62 million voters cast their votes in the early voting process, which is continuing 4 days before the presidential election between Republican Party presidential candidate and former President Donald Trump and Democratic Party presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

According to the survey data on the RealClearPolitics website, Harris is ahead in Wisconsin and Michigan among the 7 swing states, while Trump leads in Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, North Carolina and Georgia.

In the 2024 elections, which are expected to have one of the highest turnout rates in US history, if Trump wins, it is expected that the US will progress on a more independent, nationally-interested path, while Harris’ victory could mean the emergence of a more collaborative and environmentally conscious governance approach where social welfare is at the forefront.

The election, which has the potential to directly affect not only the domestic policies but also global dynamics, will also directly affect the role of the United States in NATO and other international alliances.
