At the Organization of Turkic States (TDT) summit, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan criticized the global response to the situation in Palestine, condemning the UN Security Council’s inaction. “The international community is failing to prevent genocide in Palestine,” Erdoğan said, urging the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
Erdoğan also referenced Azerbaijani President İlham Aliyev’s proposal to enhance trade within the Turkic region through the Middle Corridor initiative, announcing that Turkey has prepared representatives for this mission. He emphasized that the goals set forth in the Turkic World 2040 vision reflect the strength of Turkic unity. “We will strive to make the coming period the century of the Turkic world,” he stated, urging collaborative efforts for a shared future.
