Elazığ’s unique Coffee Cup Museum in Türkiye, boasting over 6,000 coffee cups, has attracted 300,000 visitors since opening on October 29, 2023. The museum, launched by the Elazığ Tourism, Culture, and Promotion Association on Türkiye’s Republic centenary, features rare cups, including one from 1737 sent to the Ottoman Empire, a cup used by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk during his 1937 Elazığ visit, and others from Turkish history.
Ahmet Bulut, the association’s president, highlighted the museum’s record-breaking ambitions: “With more than 6,000 cups, we’re set to enter the Guinness World Records.” The museum’s popularity has boosted local tourism, with bus tours frequently stopping by.
