death toll rises to 37 in malaysian floods

At least 37 people died and 10 are still missing after floods caused by heavy rain in Malaysia, the police said. More than 68,000 people were displaced as thousands of households were flooded. Some 130 highways were closed to traffic including Pahang province, where the rain was most effective. Water levels in 23 regions by the rivers are at a risky point and there may be new floods if the rain continue, authorities warned.
