An explosion at a plastics factory in Ibi, Alicante, southeastern Spain, has left three people dead and three others seriously injured. The blast, which destroyed the roof and parts of the walls, occurred with 39 workers inside.

Authorities suspect a boiler explosion and have launched an investigation into the cause of the incident.
