The Uganda Red Cross has reported yesterday that the death toll from a landslide that destroyed 125 homes in several villages in the eastern Bulambuli district of the country has risen to 20.
Bulambuli district official Faheera Mpalanyi stated that the number of missing has exceeded 100 and that collapsed bridges made it difficult for rescue teams to access the affected areas.
