The Syrian National Army (SNA) took control of the Kuwairis Military Airport, east of Aleppo, which was controlled by opposition groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), on December 1. It was reported that there were approximately 30 warplanes and 10 helicopters at the airport.
“Thank God, we cleared Kuwairis, we took the helicopters and warplanes here,” Abuhalid, an SNA soldier, said.
“We liberated Kuwairis. We liberated all of the planes here. God willing, we will take the other cities as well. God willing, we will clear all of Syria; we will send Iran and Russia out of Syria,” said Muhammed, another SNA soldier.
