Ayten Gümüşoğlu, a 41-year-old cleaner in Samsun, Türkiye, works tirelessly to support her family and fund her daughter’s university education. Employed through the Community Benefit Program (TYP), she sweeps streets and parks daily, starting at 7 a.m. Despite her challenging circumstances, Gümüşoğlu is proud of her work and her role as a single mother.
“My daughter started university this year, and I’m doing everything to support her,” she said. Hoping for permanent employment after TYP ends, she added, “I want to secure a better future for her.”
She also urged the public to keep the environment clean, emphasizing, “Please don’t spit on the ground; it’s unpleasant for everyone.”
