A bomb attack in Moscow killed Lieutenant General Igor Kirillov, head of the Russian Armed Forces’ Radiological, Chemical, and Biological Protection Unit, and his deputy. The explosive, hidden in an electric scooter at the entrance of a building, had a power equivalent to 300 grams of TNT, according to Russian media.
The Russian Investigative Committee has launched an investigation into the incident. Kirillov was previously indicted in absentia by Ukrainian prosecutors for alleged use of banned chemical weapons in Ukraine.
