Israeli President Isaac Herzog stated following the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas in Qatar yesterday that he supported the efforts of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the negotiating team on the agreement and called on the government to approve the agreement. The agreement must be approved in order to bring Israelis home, and nothing is more important than the return of prisoners to their homes, said the Israeli President.

The ceasefire agreement, which includes a prisoner exchange agreement in the Gaza Strip, is expected to be put to a vote in the Israeli parliament today.
